FOCUS problem on a JDIALOG

        Hi,


Here is the problem i have :

I want to create a Window which derives from a Jdialog and then
i want to set the focus on a component of this window called
'firstcomponent'.
However there is no way to get the focus on it, and not even to get the
focus
on the window itself ?

Do i do something wrong ?


Here is the code :

                WindowClassEditorSpecial a = new
WindowClassEditorSpecial(currentClass,t, (String)mo.getValueAt(selR,0));
                    a.show();
        System.out.println(" a traversable ? : " +
.isFocusTraversable());  --> prints false
                   a.pPrincip.requestFocus();
        System.out.println(" a a le focus ? : " +
.pPrincip.hasFocus());  --> prints false
                   a.firstcomponent.requestFocus();
