OK, I've actually discovered the problem. We are using LiveConnect which puts java.util stuff in it's .zip file. In Cafe, the user specified files are searched after the standard API but in JBuilder it doesn't seem to work that way. I don't have any standard API libraries specified in my required libraries. Is there any way to indicate that anything from the standard API should be found in the Sun libraries before looking in user specified required libraries. Shouldn't it default to that behavior anyway - in fact, shouldn't it always do that no matter what??? Why would it look in user specified required libraries before checking the jdk??? Thanks for any info, Scott "SAJ" <saj@saj.com> wrote in message news:3b57320d_1@dnews... > Hi, > just downloaded JBuilder 5 to evaluate moving our development from Cafe. > Got a project created with our stuff and tried to compile. > Get an error telling me that java.util.Random.nextInt(int n) is not found in > class java.util.Random.
