RMI and multiple calls to the same exposed method.

I am designing a system which involves multiple clients communicating with a
single server (each on a separate PC) via RMI. The clients display
information accessed via JDBC off a database that resides on the same
machine as the server. The clients send data to the server via RMI and the
servers updates the database with it and then sends a message via RMI to all
the clients to refresh their display of the database.

My question is what happens when multiple clients try to send data
simultaneously to the server by calling the exposed method via RMI? Will it
just buffer the simultaneous calls and deal with them sequentially?

If it is not possible to call an RMI method from multiple clients then the
other possibility I am considering is to enter the data directly from the
client via JDBC into the database. Does JDBC resolve multiple simultaneous
calls to update a table from different clients?
