It is important to make the distinction between an EXE creator and a 
native compiler.  I believe the MS Java tool just provides a front end 
that invokes the JVM.  It still interprets byte codes, just as if you 
ran the program using the "java" command.

JBuilder can be also used to create an EXE file:

A native compiler compiles the program into machine code, just like a 
traditional C/C++ compiler.  This generally results in significant 
performance improvements over interpreting byte codes.  See my other
