JAR File Software Deployment and MS VM
I am new to Java and this may be a dumb question, but I'm not finding much
information on this topic. Your input appreciated.

My employer has asked me to deploy a couple small java class files, which
will be distributed to our network of users. These users are all using
Windows 2000 and IIS and have Microsoft VM installed. These class files are
essentially using some classes in .net and JavaMail. I want to provide one
file and distribute the code in the form of JAR file. The Jar would contain
all of our custom code and parts of the imported library classes.

Can this be done?

Also, I have not been successful in importing packages from external .jar
files from our custom classes. It appears only possible to access the
packages, such as mail.jar, when the file is extracted and all of the
directory structures created. I was under the impression that as long as I
set the classpath to the mail.jar file, for example, I would be able to use
the import command in my java classes to access the external packages. Is
this a wrong assumption?

Finally, I have a question regarding the MS VM. This is our only option.
They don't want the user to download anything new such as the Sun VM due to
further technical support issues. They want this thing to be a quick
install. I think everything has to be in the trustlib directory. Is this a
correct assumption?

Any deployment input or comments would be appreciated.

 Thanks Jason
