The problem is definately in the glibc package. The onus has been on Red Hat to release updates because for reasons I will never fathom, Red Hat chose to use BETA release glibc/pthreads from GNU in their Red Hat 7.0 release. The glibc issues break many JVMs of all flavors, not just IBM's or just Sun's. I'd inspect the readme/install files provided with the JVM you're using for JBuilder itself (see jdk.config for its paths to make certain.) Verify that your system's libs are all equal or better to what is listed. -- Joi Ellis (TeamB) No direct email, please. For best results, post on news server newsgroups.borland.com!
