My idea is to put it into an HTML table of the requisite size. > Is there another/better way? I don't do applets much, but I understood that the applet tag in HTML specified the size. That fixes the size of the applet itself, but the user can still resize the browser window to suit themselves. I've seen sites which used javascript to mangle the browser window to eliminate most or all of the buttons and the frame, but I don't know how it's done (and wouldn't subject my customers to that sort of thing, anyway.) Tables aren't any use for controlling the size of their contents. You can force a table larger then necessary, but you can't make it smaller than its contents. -- Joi Ellis (TeamB) No direct email, please.
