A good 3rd party provider can be found at: http://www.cryptix.org Little bit of example code: http://cvs.cryptix.org/~edwin/ordo/ They provide the JCE to the non American / Canadian audience. You get the complete source code if you use their stuff. Also, they always include test code in their packages - great for examples. Look for com/test or something like that. I have been having a hard time finding good examples too. I have read several books about Java security, but they all have been pretty sparse with useful info. Securing Java by McGraw & Felten is not a programmers book. Really only good for pleasure reading. Java Security by Scott Oaks is a good book for programmers. Well written and includes concise code examples. Problem is he is a Sun employee, so he toes the party line. Anybody seen a developers book on Java Security that's worth reading? /Jason "Bernhard Mandl" <b.mandl@eunet.at> wrote in message news:3a266f41_2@dnews... > I need a simple file encryption/decryption class (for transporting sensitive > data via ftp). > > Could someone please point me to examples (the tutorial trail about security > exclues encryption) > > Thanks, > Bernhard > >
