So, i need to call x.400 api in java.. I used to help manage a number of large Mail*Hub systems, a high-speed X.400 email switch. The X.400 system itself contained an X.400<->SMTP translation package, but the host had to be configured to run it. I browsed around the net and didn't come up with anything related to an X.400 API in Java, but I did find a few commericial X.400 packages, including Sun's own Solstice. I didn't see mention of a Java API there, but there may have been a 3rd party link leading to one. I didn't try them all. Given the complexity of the X.400 protocol, and the high cost of the manuals which describe the standard, I'm not at all surprised no one has written an API in Java. Does your X.400 server grok only X.400 via RTS, or does it have any other method which it will use to accept email traffic? -- Joi Ellis (TeamB) No direct email, please.
