I have an applet utilizing the Java Media Framework and Java3D. I have a

few question on how to deploy this,

1. Besides allowing the user to download the Java 2 Plugin, do I still
have to deploy all those JMF and J3D runtime class files? If so, how do
I deploy it, do I have install them in the Java plugin directory of the
user's computer? Or I just deploy it on the web server just like my
applet class files?

2. As for J3D and JMF, there are a few library files (DLL files under
Windows) which is platform specific implementation, that are supposed to

be resides on user's computer (not on the web server). How do I deploy
these files so that it could fit nicely in conjunction with the Java
plugin, and thus make my applet runnable? Do Sun provide any plugin to
ease this process?

3. Is there any shortcut for deploying those Java extended API (like J3D

and JMF)? It seems so much hassle when deploying APPLET that use Java
extended API. As for deploying Java Application, it doesn't have so much

complications, as I just need to distribute all files in the JRE
directory along with my application class files.

4. Is there any info on the web regarding these cumbersome deployment of

Java applet??

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Thomas.
