Tough Question ( magical cache )

Hello,

Apparently this is a unique problem, it remains unanswered (2 months):
Please read through if you are thinking of responding.

System:
I am using JBPro1.0 on a Dell266 PPRo II with 128mb mem. I am running Netscape
FastTrack Server 3.01. I am also running JSDK srun.

Situation:
When I make a change to my code, and create a new .jar I have problems. The
changes that I make, most often, are not reflected in the new deployment. Every
time I re-deploy my code I System.out.println a version number, which is why I
know I am having a problem. The version number, most often, does not change; so
I know I am running the old code.

It goes like this ... current version is 1.4b I modify my applet code
(including changing the prinln to 1.5b) and use the deployment wizard to create
a new .jar in the appropriate directory, this new .jar file has a different
name. Then I modify the .html file to call the new .jar. When I run the 'new'
.jar I expect to see version 1.5b ... but I find I am still running 1.4b. I
have tried everything:

Shut down Netscape Browser and restart
Shut down Netscape FastTrack and restart
Reset Disk and Memory cache
Hold shift+reload
kill Netscape before re-deploying
kill JBuilder after re-deploying
soft-reboot the machine
hard-reboot the machine
Erase the old .jar, run the page (failing to find an applet) then
modifying the .html followed by a netscape browser shut-down
     and restart
Turn off JSDK srun before re-deploying
And all the other obvious things

None of these things seems to help. I have been frustrated by this for two
months and I don't see an answer in sight. On occasion I can get the new applet
deployed, but it is uncommon and inconsistent.

I am befuddled. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the problem that the
deployment wizard is not actually working as it should? Is the problem that
Netscape has some hidden method to cache applets? Is the problem that I need to
clear my machine's disk cache?

Confused,
