Native Code: invoking Java from C

I have been linking C routines to Java using the Java Native Interface,
and it works fine.

Now, I'm trying to create a program where C is the main program and
I link in Java routines. Everything is fine except when I go to link
the Java runtime I get undefined externals:
     GetDefaultJavaVMInitArgs
     JNI_CreateJavaVM

I'm linking with bccjavai.lib, but the linker isn't finding these
symbols.
What am I doing wrong? Is it that JBuilder doesn't support this form
of Native Linkage?

Thanks,

John Newkirk
