I want to launch a process and set it's working directory. I have tried

    Properties props=new Properties();
    props.put("user.dir",workingDir);
    System.setProperties(props);
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(theCommandString);

But the process executes doesn't execute in workingDir. Any thoughts?
