IMHO, the Javadoc way of doing things is fine. Between that (assuming, of course,
that the writer of the doc comment was sufficently clear) and the Bean interface,
I don't see how anyone could *not* be able to use the public features of a class.
My strongest objections to the JBuilder help system is that the Borland beans have
a different formatting convention from Sun's files (e.g. including properties and
methods from all parent classes), and little UI things like not returning to the
same place in a page when hitting the back button (I always bounce to the top,
meaning that I again have to find where I was).

The Javadoc files are not supposed to teach you how to program in Java. They're
intended to show you how to use objects of that particular class.

One thing that you might want to think about, though, is to have the docs
generated from the source code in real time (i.e. when the user clicks on th doc
tab), the way you do it with the design tab. If it is supposed to work this way,
I haven't figured out how to do it. I've had to use the javadoc utility from the
command line.
