JNI difficulties with BCC 5.0 & Jbuilder 1.0

I'm compiling the Callbacks example from Sun's Java tutorial. I'm using
Borland's C++ 5.0 and JBuilder 1.0 under NT 4.0.  I've run into
difficulties compiling the C code. I can't get a clean compile using
either \jbuilder\java\include or \bc5\java\include in the include path. I
can get a clean compile (and runnable code) via the following hacks:
-Use \bc5\java\include
-copy oobj_md.h and typedefs_md.h from java\include\win32 to java\include
-add "typedef int64_t __int64" at line 85 in typedefs_md.h
-add "#include <native.h>" to Callbacks.c

Is there a more elegant way to do this?
