The execution log is just meant for output.  It can't handle input.
So, if you want to do both input and output, you are in a pickle of
sorts.  

If you are using NT, you can increase the size of the command window,
and even give it kind of a scrolling feature.  You may want to look
at 4NT or 4DOS as a command prompt replacement.
