Chris: Writing rtf and doc files should be easy if you have the file format specs for them from MS. They are platform dependant formats, so they are not directly supported in Java. With those specs, you may be able to write an import filter (not in 2 days) that converts the rtf and displays a reasonable facsimile. Probably have to throw out any font info, though -- Java can't talk to the Registry and ask about what's available, etc. Java supports jpg and gif formats. Again, OS dependent formats just aren't in the works for the moment. With the format spec you could write a translator, but not in 2 days. You might search gamelan.com or similar sites to see if there are any pre-rolled items you can buy to get some of this done. -Rich Chris Perks wrote: > > I've got 2 days before a demo and I urgently need help on the following: > > 1) We need to display Rich Text Format file (.rtf) on a text > area in a frame.
