A better solution (IMO), unless TT support needs to be _NOW_ is to do
the development with JDK 1.2.  Java 1.2 supports both TrueType and ATM
fonts, and will be available (supposedly) in late Q2, early Q3.  The 
beta 3 release of JDK 1.2 and the gold release of Swing 1.0 are due next
week, I believe (before the end of February).

Activator will host JDK 1.2 in Communicator and IE4 once it is released,
if applets are what you are working on.
