Not AWT's.  You might want to search the net, as there are workarounds.You can
put text on a graphics object and color it that way.

This is a JavaSoft JDK bug that apparently only happens on the
win32platforms.  You may want to visit JavaSoft's web site and search their
bug database.

Drag and drop has it's problems, especially with platforms that don't
support it, or do different things than what is done under what we
think of as typical, aka, win32.

It is possible to do drag and drop inside a Java application using
a technique called triple buffering.  Basically, as the mouse events
move the image, it's moved on offscreenImage1.  offscreenImage1
is copied to offscreenImage2, which has the background.
offscreenImage2 is copied to the current context .  This is a lot
quicker than repainting the backround after each mouse event.
