Well, Thanks for spending your time reading my message. Well, first of all sorry for my English because I'm writing from Spain and English is not my tongue language. Anyway, this is my problem: I work as a JAVA programmer in a company in Madrid (Spain) and I use Borland JBuilder (standard version) to develop my programs. We work with an American software (TIBCO/Rendezvous http://www.rv.tibco.com) for developing our communication programs. At the present I'm developing a small JAVA Applet for making a demo, so the applet, theoreticaly, should work fine in any machine with a Java enabled browser such as Netscape 4.03 or Microsoft Explorer. Well, I made the applet with JBuilder, I designed the user interface (UI) and I used the TIBCO/Rendezvous API to get the communication (the communication will have to be with the same applet in another machine). Well, so far everything is perfect, but now I have two problems. Fist of them: When I made the applet, I tested it with the 'Run' option in the JBuilder IDE. The JBuilder started the appletviewer and this started my applet. OOHHH, what a wonderful applet!! it worked very well. However, when I put all the classes of the applet and the HTML page in our Web Server computer and I tryed to download with any of the browsers (Netscape 4.03 and Explorer) I always received and receive an error message, something like 'Applet can't start. Security violation. Method verify' or something in Netscape 4.03 and in MicroSoft Explorer just break down. However, if I try to download the applet with the JBuilder appletviewer from our Web Server I don't have any problem and the applet works fine. Black Magic!!. I don't know what's going on here. I suppose that the appletviewer and the browsers do exactly the same, start the applet in the same conditions. I don't know, maybe the JBuilder JAVA is not 100% pure JAVA. Maybe, I have to modify some option it the browser. I don't know. Anyway, this is my main problem and I don't know how to solve it, besides because I have to show the applet in short time. I just know that the applet works fine but I cannot make it work with a browser. I have also the CLASSPATH environmet variable set corretly pointed to the library classes. However this is another story related to my second problem. The second problem is the following. The applet has to be independent of the machine (of course) and also of the library classes. I mean, when I made the applet, in the user interface I used some buttons, some text areas, some checkbox and so on. so, I have to import 'borland.jbcl.layout.*' and 'borland.jbcl.control.*' classes. However this classes are inside a big file '.zip' of 2 Mb. so if I want my applet to be totally independent and to be able to execute the applet with a browser from any machine in wherever part of the world I have to include this big file in the web server so that people who want to execute my applet with a browser will have to download my small applet but the big file of 2 Mb. so this is fatal the time required is very big. I understand that if I use buttons, checkboxes and so on, I have to include these classes but I would like to include just these classes and not all the big '.zip' file. I was looking for the above classes inside the '.zip' file but I just found these names like dependecy files. I don't know what are these files and I don't know how to include just the classes that I need together my applet. Well, the message is getting big and I don't want to bore anybody, so I will be very grateful if you can give me a hand and tell me some clue of these problems. If you need more aditional information or you want to ask me something, please let me know because maybe I haven't explained as well as I wanted. Thanks in advance to everybody and I look forward to hearing solutions as soon as possible. Best regards.
