Okay, my guess is that what you are looking at is
quite old -- in other words, it's irrelevant if
you are using any version of Tomcat.
Ignore Barton's undated copy of some snapshot of
the servlet API. (Who is Barton, and why are
you looking at his Web page? -- just curious)
Look at the JavaDocs which ship with JBuilder,
or Tomcat. Or, read the specs themselves:
current specs:
http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/download.html
archived specs:
http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/archive.html
Even in the archived 2.1 spec, there's no javax.servlet.html.
My guess is that if it existed, it did so only in the earliest
versions of the spec and was removed long ago.
If you do a Google search on "javax.servlet.html" (in
quotes so that it will do an exact search on that
package), and you study the dates of all the hits,
you'll see that they are incredibly old (in Internet
time).
Are you following a demo or tutorial which uses
these classes? Why not just follow the old but
somewhat useful tutorial at java.sun.com
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/Servlets/Fundamentals/contents.html
or the one in the JBuilder Help?
Or better yet, if you are quite serious about
doing servlet development, get a good book
on the subject, such as Jason Hunter's
"Java Servlet Programming" (2nd ed., O'Reilly
Associates).

Save time, search the archives:

Is it in Joi Ellis's Faq-O-Matic?

Finally, please send responses to the newsgroup only.
That means, do not send email directly to me.
Thank you.
