The simple answer is to call setSize() on the panel, but that is 
probably not what you want.  Almost all resizing should normally be 
done by a layout manager.  However, it is hard to say given the 
information you have provided.  Could you describe what you are 
trying to do in a little more detail?

P.S. It is a good idea to put your question in the body of the message 
rather than just in the subject line.  When a completely blank message 
appears, it looks like the news reader is having trouble communicating.  
And you really cannot be sure that the person reading the message will 
be able to see the subject line.  (See newsgroup guideline # 8 at
