Hi, I am starting with Jbuilder - I am trying to create a simple web application using JbuilderX Struts built in support. I follow the wizard steps, one by one, checking all of the options. I have created a simple JSP, Struts Action and Struts ActionForm (I know Struts OK). The problem is that when I start the Tomcat Server through JBuilder GUI, the Server starts, but I get the following Log4J error:- ------------------------------------------------------------------ log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.struts.util.PropertyMessageResources). log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. ------------------------------------------------------------------ log4j.properties file was not automatically generated by the wizard, so I have created it manually and copied it in the webapp /WEB-INF/class directory. This has not sorted my problem - same error time :o( I would appreciate if anybody could help me out on this one... Could it me that my log4j.properties file is erroneous? What is the most simple log4j.properties I could use to make sure does not come from there? Where shall I put the log4j.properties file in the project so it is not deleted each time I "clean" the project? Also, another question - When I look in the project's setting I cannot see Log4J in the list or libraries used by the project - so I presume that the Log4J used comes from somewhere else (?) what other lib archive can contains it? (as apparently it is there somehow as I see it complaine about its configuration). This is quite a lot of questions - but I am really stuck - I have tried to sort this out alone (I am not a Java but C++ expert) for at least 4 hours but nothing does :o( Thanks!

Problem solved! I have copied the log4j in the ./src directory of JBuilder and it is now copied over automatically when I build. The problem before was that I was putting it directly and manually in the WEB-INF/class directory of the web module and it was deleted every time by JBuilder while cleaning/building the project. vidaubannais@caramail.com (iffriganovitch) wrote in message news:<7f003b70.0401211437.157da631@posting.google.com>... > Hi, > > I am starting with Jbuilder - I am trying to create a simple web > application using JbuilderX Struts built in support. > I follow the wizard steps, one by one, checking all of the options. > I have created a simple JSP, Struts Action and Struts ActionForm (I > know Struts OK). > > The problem is that when I start the Tomcat Server through JBuilder > GUI, the Server starts, but I get the following Log4J error:- > > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger > (org.apache.struts.util.PropertyMessageResources). > log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > > log4j.properties file was not automatically generated by the wizard, > so I have created it manually and copied it in the webapp > /WEB-INF/class directory. > > This has not sorted my problem - same error time :o( > > I would appreciate if anybody could help me out on this one... > > Could it me that my log4j.properties file is erroneous?
