Hi
I would like to know what is the best way to send XML to a Java servlet from
Delphi.
We have a Delphi application that submits XML to a Java servlet. If the
Delphi app submits the servlet using a post and adding the xml in the URL we
can use request.getParameter("qlxml") to read the XML, but if the Delphi app
send the XML in the content we have to use request.getReader() to read the
XML.
My point of view is that request.getParameter("qlxml") should be used to
retreive text from a post.
I think request.getReader() is usually used when a file is uploaded, I
always use the O'Reilly components to when uploading a file so not really
sure what you use when a file is uploaded
If we have to use request.getReader() to read the XML that they send in it
means to me they are uploading text and that just seems to me that they are
mixing the two different ways of submitting something to a servlet. You
upload a file in the content and you post text, not upload text.
