JBuilder 7 Personal

Hi,

I downloaded JBuilder 6 Personal a couple of months ago for use on my
Uni project thinking I was getting JDK 1.4 (I need this for
java.util.regex and java.util.prefs), however it only came with 1.3.1
and seemingly wont allow 1.4 to be added (???).

I see that there is now a JBuilder 7 Personal available on the Borland
site. If I download that will I get the stuff I need ?

Also, would I be right in assuming that I would have to delete
JBuilder 6 Personal off my PC or is it intelligent enough to know
that's there and just upgrade ?

I'm hoping that someone else may have been in a similar situation.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I gather you didn't mean to refer me to the
Selecting a target JDK section since when I go to the project
properties I just see the configuration screen I saw when I installed
JB6P (and that doesn't allow selection of any other JDK, the ellipses
are greyed out)

So, are you meaning that I should download a copy of JDK1.4 separately
and use the defining JDKs bit to "hook it up" to this project ?

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit dense here. I've used a JDK with only a
textpad before, but apart from that have only used versions of
JBuilder with what they came with...

Thanks

Thanks, John... will look into it...
