java can
be a stand alone application that can access a host server over the
internet? I guess i always had the impression that java either was an
applet that can be used over the internet or an application for the
intratnet. I'm kind of new at this so I hope you dont mind answering me.
So you can actually write a small java program that will look for the rest
of the application over the internet to load the rest of the main java app?
Like you said a small shell and then when accessed load the main java app?
I'm new to this and trying to clear up so distinctions. For example
Microsoft has put allot of effort on using DHTML and scripting for intranet
and internet apps and leaving out java. Where can i find info in creating
this shell program or what is it called anyways. Just looking for a
starting point to search for the information. Again I appreciate any
advice.
