Saving TextArea to database

Hi,

I'm trying to save the contents of an TextArea to an Access7 database
via DataGateway. Therefore I use a preparedStatement and its
.setString() method.
Unfortunately this only seems to work with up to 255 characters.
If TextArea contains more than these 255 characters an exception is
thrown.

Does anybody know how to save larger TextAreas?

Ingmar
