Dino:

Because I have to (for testing purposes) I run IE 3.02, 3.02 + new VM,
IE 4.0, IE 4.0 + new VM, NS 4.02, 4.03, and 4.04 with the appropriate
patches, AppletViewer and HotJava.

All of them (yes, all of them) have individual problems with 1.1
applets. Some major (like Netscapes inability to load images via
getResource() or use interdependant archives), some Minor (like MS
desire to code so close to the spec that the end user suffers and UI
looks different across browsers).

If you poke around the applet-issues group, you'll see many of these
problems. This is just what you get to look forward to after you get a
solid handle on where to stick files (deploy) so your applet even runs.

What error are you getting from the applet?
