Hi Ho All, (and Thanks in Advance!)

I am developing a standalone application for a company. the
application at some point has a need to startup a web browser and
display a generated page the client does not want to use hotjava browser
bean or any of the other 'imbedded' browser apps.
starting up the page is no prob. nor is generating the all that goes
with it... what i need to do is imbed in the page an applet that can
talk in some manner to the application that started it. any ideas? i
thought of creating a server type class on the application and allow the
applet to connect to the application using the 'loop back address
(127.0.0.1). alas i think you still have to be connected for this to
work.... any other ideas would be welcome... since the applet and the
application are on the same machine there should be a better way, but i
am soooooo swamped i cant see it right away....

any help would be appreciated......
