Hi all, I am a C++ Developer who wants to learn Java and join a company that develops in Java. Here are some questions related to my desires : 1) What Companies develop in Java in Boston/New England (Seems as though all/most java done on the west coast!) ?? -- Is there a <hot bed> of Java on the East Coast ? 2) How many Java developers are there in the companies in question 1 ? ie: Are these companies committed to Java or just toying with it? 3) What is the best Java IDE to use ? 4) Are there any Java tools that do Code Generation/Analysis&Design ? 5) How hard is Java to learn ? Where is the best place to get info on learning java ? 6) Is Java a fad language or will it 'stick' ? 7) Will Microsoft sabotage java due to java's heavy SUN influence ? - in other words - Can MS be comitted to something that it did not initiate ? Please respond to : eriseman@tiac.net Thanks one and all for the assistance........ Eric
