Hi everyone, I don't have much experience with Java. We are looking at the possiblility porting a Windows app/plugin to Java. We need to do the following: * Obtain an HTML page from somewhere on the internet. This might be a "GET" or it could be the result of a "POST". Note this page resides on some random server, which we do not own. * Read the HTML page we obtain into memory and then parse it. I had looked at Java very briefly once before, and I came away with the impression that this was not possible because of security restrictions built into the language. However, I didn't spend much time investigating it...maybe I got it wrong? Can anyone tell me if this is possible with Java? If so what are the basic functions you would use to do this? Thanks!
