Scenario: We are writing an Inventory Control java app. This app, like
most apps of this kind, has many frames with many textfield controls on
each frame.

Needed: We want to limit the length of the textfield controls.

Problem: Sun is aware of a bug in 1.1.x . That bug is that the
setcolumns event for a textfield isnt working. And setting the columns
through jbuilder's inspector isnt working either.

Possible Workaround: In the meantime, I could catch the keypressed event
for each control BUT this makes for a lot of code. Very cluttered(but it
works).

Preferrable Workaround: I would prefer to catch a keypressed event for
any control in a given frame. In other words, one event trap for the
whole frame. I tried using the various key events on Jbuilder's
Inspector for a FRAME but it doesn't work.

Can anyone help!
