I'm trying to connect to a database that resides on the machine the
applet comes from. But I'm getting security exception at this line:

  Class.forName ("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");

I thought an applet could network to the host it came from. Am I wrong?
I thought so even more when I developed the applet using JBuilder2 and
Netscape 4.04 with smartUpdate to java version 1.1.4. It worked just
fine then. But now with the Java Plugin version 1.1.1, it can't connect
any longer.

Does anyone know anything about this? Please tell me then!
