Hello,

I wonder if someone can please help me. I have recently been using
Jbuilder 2 but I can't get applications or applets to run outside it. I
followed the first 'Hello World' tutorial, but when I try and run the
HTML/applet, from Netscape 4.04, it says:-

    "Applet hello.Hello can't start: class hello/Hello got a security
violation: method verification error"

It doesn't work in IE5 either. It says:

    "load:hello.Hello can't be instantiated"


I then built the more complex 'Hello World' application in the second
tutorial, and used the Deployment Wizard to produce a Jar file. When I
try and run this from DOS it gives the error:-

    "UIDefaults.getUI() failed: no ComponentUI class for:
com.sun.java.swing.JButton[
,0,0,0x0,invalid,layout=com.sun.java.swing.OverlayLayout]"

The run command I used was:-

    jre -cp HelloWorld.jar hello/Hello


Any help much appreciated with these problems. Also, is it normal for
Jar files to be so big - the trivial mentioned above is 1 MB!
