Hi, I purchased (at work) a CCD Camera and the software distribution contains C++ examples. These examples use .lib and .h files. However, I need to program in Java and collect images and later use JAI to analyze them. So my first question is can I use JNI and the .lib or I have to have .DLL to work with JNI? Regards Arun

I would start with reading JNI documentation. In general, you will need
to create a Java class with "native" methods, run javah to generate C++
headers, implement generated methods using APIs provided by the library,
compile the sources to generate DLL, and finally update your Java class
to load the native DLL in static constructor.
