Problems with Tooltips

I recently switched from Swing 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 and now my tooltips are
not working properly. When they should activate I get the following:

Exception occurred during event dispatching:

I have tried following Richard Wilkman's post on using Swing 1.0.2
(substituting 1.0.3) and got the same error, as well as simply creating
a new Library and pointing it to the swing1.0.3 directory. I still get
the same error.

The error also is intermittent. With certain controls it is always
consistent; with others that sometimes correctly display the tip,
looking at certain controls that do not work and then at one which does
work causes the error. If I look at one that always works, then the
ones that sometimes display will work.

What is happening?

I have noticed what appear to be other intermittent errors with JB2
(sometimes controls can't be resized/moved unless it is deleted and then
replaced (Jtextarea)). Has anyone else?

Thanks,
Keith
