Hi. I'm using a JTree in which I don't want the root to be visible. But when I add nodes I want them to be displayed immediately i.e. I want the root node to be expanded. But it seems like I can't expand the root until I add a child to it, which makes my app has to listen for nodes getting added to the tree, so that I can expand the node after the first child has been added... Is it really this bad (the JTree)? Generally I find the JTree very hard to work with. / Simon
