Hi. I want a JTree to display different icons for different objects. The icons are not dependent of the state of the node e.g. expanded or not, so I don't want to use the BasicTreeCellRenderer. I had a look at the BasicTreeCellRenderer to find out how to write my own TreeCellRenderer. The problem is that I can't see where the actual painting of the icon occurs. If someone has done this I would be glad to get some help. thanks, Simon
