Has anyone been able to debug Java apps under Linux using JBX? I just keep getting this error message and it's driving me nuts not having a debugger! Whenever I try to run the debugger for any project, this is what I get in the message tab and the process exits: -- Cannot configure Java debug process arguments -- com.sun.jdi.connect.IllegalConnectorArgumentsException: Not listening

Hi all, I followed through the link you gave however I can't find the message being discussed. I'm referening to the following text ... "When you debug, there will be a command line generated in the message view to start the debug session. Towards the end will be an address=xxx:1549 part." (copied from the link you gave out) The only messages I get is ... "-- Cannot configure Java debug process arguments -- com.sun.jdi.connect.IllegalConnectorArgumentsException: Not listening" ... there are no messages in the message view! Am I looking in the right place? Thanks a lot Ray

Just insert a line into /etc/hosts about your computer name. For example: My computer name is "tux" defined in /etc/hostname,so add a line 127.0.0.1 tux in the file /etc/hosts and debug will work

Another thing is that the file /etc/hostname does not exist on my system. However when linux displays the welcome screen it says "Welcome to ubr1-6_80.xxx.xxx (where xxx.xxx is my cable internet isp) Thanks Ray
