This appears to be something which may have
been the case in an earlier version, but
as of JBuilder X, I don't see the .bom
file anywhere.

Wow.  All that running around in the IDE newsgroup
thread, and this is what you mean by "empty".  It
has nothing to do with line endings.  That's a red herring.

Run JBuilder in the -verbose mode from the command-line.
See the error messages which indicate where
your substituted DTD is invalid.

Yeah, neither did I even though the JBuilderX docs say it should be there :(

I said it actred as if the file was empty - that seems pretty clear.
