Does Kylix include a C++ compiler for Linux?

In another group someone mentioned that Kylix includes a C++ compiler for Linux. Is this true, and has it been true since Kylix 1.0? (That's the only time I looked at it, and not that extensively). Rufus (It was borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp. And I was shooed away for being off-topic for that group. I don't see that this is off-topic, as the question stemmed from C++ compilers for Linux, not specifically Kylix)

But the C++ compiler (bc++) does not work under Kernel 2.6. Someone posted an patch on my unofficial Kylix patch forum (http://unvclx.sourceforge.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=46). I don't know if it works. -- Regards, Andreas Hausladen

Yes it does - certainly in Kylix 3, don't know about 2. Dean "Rufus V. Does anyone know how to embed compiled C code in Kylix with
{$L filename.o}
?
Kylix always tells me it can't deal "with that type of object
format" or something like that. Different messages with bc++
and gcc, but with the same help text.
