I've read two books now that say SQL is not an acronym or abbreviation, it says that it does not stand for anything at all. On of the books I'm referring to is called: Understanding The New SQL, written by Jim Melton and Alan R. Simon. They say that _SQL_ is merely the result of the evolution of research projects. I can not remember the title of the first book I read it in. Its baffling to me but I've read it twice. According to the books' this whole news group needs to stand corrected<g>. Thanks, Greg
