I think you are thinking of the ORDER BY (which acts on a field, not an index) clause that is optional on the SQL Select Statement. The documentation says you can use the USE..ORDER BY with SQL tables. I can easily use SELECT tablename ORDER BY fieldname, but I am trying to find a work around for changing existing code. BTW, my data tables reside in MS SQL Server 6.5.
