I'm sure you know that but no view is needed to use datalinks. Just an 
open table. A 'view' is nothing but a program with a funny extension so 
that the query designer knows he is meant, and that code just USEs the 
tables.

It really seems to be missing from the BDE version, can't get it to wotk 
with memo fields and SQL. Can't you just use the DML?

use yourfile
append blank
replace mymemo with "whatever"
