Hi, When using vdb5.5 one could create queries that linked tables using existing indices. Now, in vdb7 with the new sql-query-generator it seems not possible to force vdb to use any index (when using local sql). We have a some databases with order-information, article-information and a large customer-addresses linked by article-id resp. customer-id. When creating a query with these databases it takes very much longer (very much too long!) than in vdb5.5 (or even dBase IV for DOS!). This is also true when the resulting view is quite small (only the customer database is a very large one)! It seems vdb doesn't optimize anything here and does not use an existing index, does it? Can I force vdb to use this index? Any other suggestions? Thanks, Dirk
