It's been some time since I've posted here.
Anyway...
I have datafiles that have the field name "SIZE".
I used the CREATE TABLE command as follows:-
CREATE TABLE "STOCK" {;
STOCKNUM CHAR(6),;
SIZE NUMERIC(5,2),;
....[and other fields...]..)
After that command, I issue the following commands:-
CREATE INDEX STOCKNUM ON "STOCK" (STOCKNUM)
CREATE INDEX SIZE ON "STOCK" (SIZE)
[...etc..]
It then gave me an Invalid keyword usage "SIZE".
I know for sure it's complaining about the "SIZE" keyword.
Even when I tried the following:-
CREATE INDEX "STOCK"."SIZE" ON "STOCK" (SIZE)
It still won't work.
Can someone point out why it's complaining about the SIZE field,
and how I might be able to create an index for the "SIZE" field?
Any help appreciated.
Edmund
