i have about 50 visual dbase tables and i have just installed an SQL Server. i would like to know if there is a way to convert all of my visual dbase tables into sql tables without re-entering everything in manually. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. kris

Kris, If you setup an Alias in the BDE for your client-server RDBMS (SQL Server or any other), then you can use any dBASE command on that table as if it were a dBASE table. So, you could then use old XDML or new OODML to do the work: USE :theAlias:theTable APPEND FROM yourTable or use the updateSet( ) as suggested by Ken. -- Geoff Wass Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia =>=> More dBASE info at http://members.theglobe.com/Geoff_Wass <=<=
