rowset.FinKey() in a multicolumnar SQL Index

I'm connected to an oracle database via OBDC and findkey() works for simple
indexes but when I try to it with a multicolumnar index I don't get a response
for a long time.
The Index TAG: AUT_SERIES Key: CG_TLTJ,CL_AMBT
CG_TLTJ is VARCHAR(5)
CL_AMBT is VARCHAR(1)
I use finkey with code like this one:
orowset.indexName := 'AUT_SERIE'
orowset.FindKey('MDL','1')

Oracle and ODBC _are_ the slowest possible combination.

If Use findkey('MDL') for a partial match the response comes in seconds for the
complete form I never have seen its response (I've let it run for more than 5
hours).

Mmm, not sure if I understand the above, does it come within seconds when
running local and hours when running offsite?

Did you try with <rowset>applylocate("Name='Doe' and city='Los Angeles'")
if not, try with and without an active index to see if there's a
difference.
But it should be fastest if you'd use the WHERE clause of the SQL
property, or perhaps PARAMS depending on your needs.

I've made some test and the best solution is to use a WHERE clause and let the
server resolve, ending with a different rowset or using filter property ,it is
fast but to revert to the full rowset its faster to use an ever true filter
condition than the use of clearfilter()
