I have a grid that don't work properly. On Form Open I do this : form.query1.sql = "SELECT * FROM 'X.dbf'" form.query1.active = true form.grid1.datalink = form.query1.rowset And the grid1 fill with the data During the program I must change the query on the grid and I use this instruction: form.query1.sql = "SELECT * FROM 'Y.DBF'" In the other GRID (grid2) that appear in my form, this instruction change the grid but with this grid1 I must do: form.query1.active = false form.query1.sql = "SELECT * FROM 'Y.DBF'" form.query1.active = true form.grid1.datalink = form.query1.rowset With this istruction grid1 is filled but when navigate throw the rowset the data disappear. On grid1 there are no events that can change the data; the rowset is only read (requestlive = false) There are someone that know the resolution of this problem ? Pleas help me. Thank you for your attention

Mr. Bombaci,
Two questions to understand your problem:
a) when you change the form.query1.rowset, do you also re-state:
form.rowset = form.query1.rowset
b) are tables X and Y linked trough masterRowset and masterFields
properties?
One suggestion: this NG is now derelict since Inprise sold dBase to dBase
Inc March 4th. Please subscribe to the news server: news.dbase2000.com

Mr. Martel, Thank you for your answering, here the answer a) The query is not the unique in my form (there's two grid with two queries) and the other is assigned at form.rowset b) X and Y are independent (not linked) tables Thank tou very much "Jean-Pierre Martel" wrote: > Mr. Bombaci, > > Two questions to understand your problem: > a) when you change the form.query1.rowset, do you also re-state: > form.rowset = form.query1.rowset > b) are tables X and Y linked trough masterRowset and masterFields > properties? > > Jean-Pierre Martel, editor > The dBASE Developers Bulletin
