Hello

I need help for creating a combobox that accepts mor characters than
visible:
the street-field in a table is 35 chars wide. my combobox should have 20
visible chars and it should scroll when the user types the 21st char.

thank you

That sounds like the default behavior. What is it doing?

yes, it is using a proportional font.
but is using a non-proportional font and sizing the combo 35 chars wide the
only way to solve my problem. I hope not! Cause what shall I do if I have a
database field that is 240 chars wide and I need a combo.

It still should display what is being typed within the viewable area
regardless of the font.
